Passionate
My passion is to teach and to train. I have been preaching and teaching
internationally since 1988. When considering the fact that fully 85% of the
world's Bible-believing churches are led by untrained men, that passion grows
daily. Please understand that the men to which I refer are not untrained by
choice. The rapid expansion of the body of Christ, particularly in the Third
World, has resulted in a corresponding crisis in leadership. This crisis, this
sea of the untrained, this is our field of service. We are "standing in the gap"
of training for the glory of God (Ezekiel
22:30).
Prepared
The Lord has blessed us with a
diverse ministry since 1986. The diversity has been a blend of pastoral and
cross-cultural ministry. We have served pastorates in Texas, North Carolina,
Indiana, and New York from 1989-2009. While actively involved in pastoral
ministry, we founded Laborers Together as a 501(c) (3) mission to take
short-term mission trips for the purpose of evangelizing and discipling abroad.
LT has allowed us to conduct camps for young adults (two week Bible Institutes),
hold Bible conferences, teach modular seminary courses, offer ESL (English as a
Second Language) classes, participate in evangelistic campaigns, and
publish Christian books. In
addition, we served as Executive Director and Chief of Staff of a regional
Bible Conference and conducted
summer children's camps from 2005-2009.
Dr. Blanc is also a member of the Evangelical
Theological Society (www.etsjets.org). He is also Adjunct Professor of
Ethics and Comparative Religion at
Fulton-Montgomery Community College
in Johnstown, New York.
Together, Doug and Sally have six children and one grandchild through 30
years of marriage. They make their home in Upstate New York in the city
of Gloversville.
Purposeful
To develop the existing global
educational partnerships (partnering Bible Institutes, Bible Colleges, and
Seminaries) of the Mission through assessment, evaluation, and
recommendation.
To coordinate short-term modular instructional teams to teach
intensive courses abroad.
The primary objectives set forth by the Mission are:
