Philippians 1:21
I came to know Jesus as my personal Savior at an
early age through the witness of my mother. My understanding as a child was that
as a sinner I was separated from God. I further reasoned that as a sinner I
needed forgiveness and to have my sins removed to enjoy a relationship with God.
It was carefully explained to me that only Jesus can provide this and in fact
had done so at the cross through His death. Since Jesus rose from the dead, He
is alive to offer this forgiveness to me personally. I then repented of my sins
and by faith reached out and took God’s free gift of salvation. From that point,
I began my life as a child of God and started to walk daily with Him.
After devoting several years in pursuit of a
career in the dairy industry, the Lord called me into full-time Christian
service. His hand was strong upon my life during my teenage years, but it was
not until being married with our first three children that I sensed the urgency
to take the necessary steps to prepare for a lifetime of ministry. We relocated
from Upstate New York to Dallas, Texas in 1986 and began a journey of
preparation for service.

Philippians 4:13
I received Jesus as my personal Savior during my
senior year in high school. I grew up in a non Christian home. A friend invited
me to the Baptist church in town. I began to attend regularly and heard the
gospel message over a period of a few months. Through the witness of my friend
and the gospel presented at the church, I discovered my need of a Savior and was
saved following a morning worship service.
Since giving my life to the Lord, He has used me
in many ways; as a mother to our six children and home school teacher, a
supportive wife (30 years), Sunday school teacher, AWANA® leader, MOPS® worker,
nursery worker, choir member, Children’s Church director, summer camp director,
and participant in numerous cross-cultural mission trips.
